How can I connect my laptop to the VPN my desktop is on?
I need them both on the same IP. Anyone know how to do that?
I've only tried to connect the router to the laptop via ethernet cable. Idk what else to try. Ads |

well if your connected to a router, then they'll both have the same external IP address, eg 82.111.123.101, since i think you might be getting confused between external Ip address and internal eg 192.168.x.x
or if they are using different internet connections you could setup a ad-hoc ICS wired conenction from your desktop, but this would need to make sure you've got 2 network cards.. Ads |

You can manually type in the IP address but it will immediately create a conflict.
Perhaps you can explain what you are trying to accomplish and someone will have an answer. In automatic mode, the next available IP is chosen for you. |

Plug your laptop into your desktop Ethernet port and configure the connection.
