ABSOLUTELY...

"Stupid" means that they're ill-educated. You can CORRECT THIS by providing an education to the person... But all the tendencies that people like to CALL "Stupid" are more based in inherited genetics/brain biology for beliefs and damage to brain development due to trauma in the family of origin that cause a person to be composed to make negative/unhealthy decisions.

Political Preference is half genetic... The ability to maintain magical thinking, including both theism as well as belief in other paranormal concepts, is based in genetics... Attraction to unhealthy partners, like the woman that magically only dates guys that beat her or are addicts, is based on brain biology set up in childhood...

There is only stupid, cognitively disabled, and DAMAGED or, as I like to say, "Retarded".
