Do you need internet connection to play the Sims 3?

Many people say u don't need internet connection, but whenever i want to play Sims 3 and I don't have internet connection it wont load, so i go to my task manager and it says that Sims 3 isn't responding. Plz help i need an answer by Friday.

What I suggest to you is that you go to the sims website, click on help, then click on contact us and tell them what is wrong. I would also suggest that you do the live chat on help. This always works for me.
