Xbox 360 internet connection help?

i have had an xbox 360 for crimbo and i want to connect it to the internet through my laptop which is connected to the internet through a wireless connection. how do i onnect my xbox to internet.
when i try to change my internet connection so it can be shared it come up with an error message. any help?

i plugged my xbox into my router via an ethernet cable and it worked.not sure how to do it through a laptop,i think bt broadband have details on thier website.

Get an ethernet cable and plug one end into xbox the other into laptop.

On your laptop ..
Go to your Network Connections. Select the LAN connection and your internet connection. Right-click, Bridge Connections.
