Help with Google Chrome...?

Okay so I want to set Google Chrome as the default browser. I try downloading it then installing it but it shows up nowhere after that. I have the file ChromeSetup but it appears nowhere else. I did install Google Earth recently, could this be causing the problem. I want to fix this. I checked in the Documents and Settings - nowhere. I also tried using IE to try and install it but nothing. What else?
@Noah, *sigh* That's what I did and I still can't get access to Chrome.
