Thats true for really looking for best hosting provider firstly you need to shortlist your requirements and accordingly search for one looking for real reviews on webhosting forums for really persons reviews.
Most of the review sites will show you paid top companies .. but dont fall in those fake companies trap.

Every client will have their own definition for best provider .. as per my personal experience, I have worked with best provider for me are :

http://www.Webhost.uk.net
http://www.Rshosting.Com
http://www.Site5.Com
http://www.WebhostingUK.Com
http://www.Infrenion.Com

You can still take a look at webhostingtalk forum to know more detail about other hosting companies as well.

Hello,

The following website is comparing web hosting companies in India:
http://top10best.webhosting.co.uk/ Click on the review links in the Score column and study the review carefully

Also, if you are planning to have visitors outside of India, combine this classification with the following ranking who takes into account the webhosting speed internationaly: http://www.dotcom-monitor.com/blog/index...ance-test/

It is also very important to be ready at any time to change hosting company (not to stay with your hosting company just because you are afraid to migrate your site elsewhere). Therefore, once you start designing your site, make sure you backup your content, code and configurations regularly and that you have a procedure to move from one site to another.

I gathered more criteria to make your choice in the following article: http://www.websitelion.com/host-a-website/

Hope it helps, and I wish you the best of luck for your online adventure. Personaly I use hostgator.in

Hi The,

I have taught marketing at the University of Wyoming for the past 18 years and can tell you that choosing the right host is a crucial step towards building a successful website, although a good host alone is far from enough to ensure that you get a good amount of traffic and a solid reputation for your brand/blog. Choosing a bad host, however, will result in failure; with bad hosting, no matter what you do, you will have no chance out there. Hosting can be of three types: shared, VPS or dedicated. If you are new to ecommerce or blogging, you should start with shared hosting first, but be prepared to move to VPS and dedicated later. These can be as much as 20x more expensive than shared, but by the time you will need those services, you should be already making enough money to afford them without any issues.

Whichever host you choose, there are tools available for free on the Internet such as tools.pingdom.com, which may help you check the speed and uptime of any web host before you even think about purchasing a hosting plan. Remember that despite their many claims about "unlimited hosting", no shared host including Hostgator, iPage, Bluehost, Fatcow and the like will ever be able to provide the same speed and reliability, which a dedicated server can. I recommend this host to my students: http://topwebhosts.tld.cc I also use them for my own sites and they have helped me create over 15 profitable micro-businesses. They come with a few freebies that will help a new webmaster promote their site, which is a huge deal if you are on a tight budget, and don't have enough resources to afford paying for advertising. Not every host does. In my experience it's the best out there.

Remember though, that everyone is different and you may have needs different than mine. For some webmasters, customer service may have priority over features, and , for others, it will be vice versa. As long as you choose a reputable company that has been around for long, you should be fine. If not, never hesitate to make use of your money back guarantee. Try to pay with PayPal, so that you can have the transaction reversed, if the service is not what was promised.

Hope that Helps!
