Why shouldn't they? The bad thing here may be that you added your mother on fb. You could have tell her that you wouldn't add her, nothing personal, I dunno. but yes, if they want, they should, maybe you are the one who shouldn't.

Absolutely. Why shouldn't people over 30 have a FB? It's a great way to keep up with friends and family, especially those who live far away. It's also great for keeping up with groups and organizations. FB is NOT just for teenagers.

Just because your mother has issues with some of your friends does not mean that she should not have a FB. That's called good parenting. At least she seems to care who you hang around and what you and your friends do. You should count yourself lucky.

Why shouldn't they? You should feel lucky that your mom lets you have a facebook!

Yes it's a great way to keep in touch with distant family. Simple solution to the mom problem, Delete her as a friend. I didn't accept my parents friend request until I left for the Marine Corps. True story.

Should anyone have a Facebook? I think the world would be a better place without Facebook and Myspace. reason being is it causes so many issues. Teachers are talking to students (special treatment sometimes) being harassed by students. students being harassed by teachers. Teachers not teaching in class and discussing facebook with a few students who left a nasty post. moms spying on kids this way..... you cant say you people are old stay off the computer. or website.... just leave the site if it bothers you so much. your life would probably be better without it and if people need to get a hold of you they can give you a call/text.

Yes. Facebook was designed for everyone and teenagers shouldn't take over all social media sites. Sites like myyearbook are more of teen sites and older people probably shouldn't be on them, but Facebook is more for older people than younger people in my opinion.
