It wasn't ErdoÄŸan who banned it in Turkey. Twitter blocked in Turkey for ignoring court orders. If twitter doesn't recongize Turkish courts, it has no place in Turkey either. Twitter obeys the court orders of the US, UK, France and others, but thinks it can ignore Turkish authorities.
When it's the UK, they can ban twitter: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/cutline/brit...16849.html When it's Germany, they can beat the crap out of protestors: http://en.cihan.com.tr/news/German-cable...MzMDA4My80 The sad thing some Turkish citizens with low IQ levels think Turkey is a protectorate, a third world country. The same people claim ErdoÄŸan is a dictator should go to North Korea or Syria to see what a real dictatorship is like. Ads |

All social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook etc are to be tampered with in Turkey for the foreseeable future. Most expats and Turkish now switch a VPN on before surfing to stop the heavy censorship that goes on and off constantly. See http://www.netprivacy.me to install and browse uncensored in future.
