Google Chrome problems on windows 8?

I was on Google Chrome when I moved my mouse and for some reason it opened chrome in another app. Instead of the normal bottom task bar I usually have, there is a black bar with symbols for chrome, gmail, google docs, etc. Everytime I try to open chrome it goes to this same app. Any solutions? Thanks!

Click on Chrome symbol in the "black" bar, next Click the Chrome menu (3 bars) on the browser toolbar, then select "Relaunch Chrome on the desktop"
