-Gmail, yahoo, hotmail provide you an ID which you can use in other applications and websites.. it is your Identity.. so you have to first create it
-then you can create you profile in other websites like facebook giving them your Gmail ID.. once it is done, you have to go your Gmail ID to confirm your action.. then you can use it freely..
