I need the easiest way to hook up my dvr security system to my laptop
H.264 Digital Video Recorder. It has a ethernet plug and it is plugged in. No Manual.

Without knowing which DVR system there is no way for us to know if it has an ethernet port. This would allow you to connect the DVR to a router connected to the internet - Of course, we assume you already know how to configure the router to allow secure connection when you are remote.
