How do you share an Internet connection?
I have two computers beside each-other, and want both of them on the internet. They both have networking cards, and I don't want to do it wirelesly...Can anyone tell me how to share an internet connection over an ethernet cable?

You have to connect the two computers with a 'crossover ethernet cable'. Regular cable doesn't work. In a crossover cable the rj45 jacks are crimped with the leads reversed. You can get one in a local computer shop.
Then you can connect one computer to the internet with a USB/wireless router. Then you can enable the computer to share the connection... called ICS (internet connection sharing) . Rtclk the internet connection and 'share this connection.' Ads |

use a router. Wireless or otherwise. its the way to go

the easiest way to do this is with a hub or switch and use internet connection sharing
