That's the problem with rather pointless ''social networks'' such as FB or trying to get to know someone through the internet.It doesn't bring you any closer, quite the opposite.Considering the behavior he's exhibiting, whether he is shy or not, he's not likely to have a real conversation with you, let alone form a relationship of any kind any time soon.You really shouldn't rely on making any type of (genuine at least) connections with people in a virtual space.Waste of time.If you feel like you could do it, stop talking to him over FB and see what happens.You have not much to lose, but to rather gain.If there is at least some remote interest from his part he will actually try to approach you in the real world, like normal humans do when they really want to know someone they supposedly ''talked'' to already and expand their social circle.
