How to put a CPM Banner advertisement on a Blogger.com blog?

I have tried everything!!!! It seems like it would be so simple and I am in school for computer programming and I still can't figure it out. It's pathetic.

I just started a blog and I need to add a advertisement. I went to layout, and clicked "Add a Gadget." Than a new window pops up and I click "add your own" It says enter URL. I take the URL of my CPM and paste it in there. Than it says URL contains illegal characters... I don't understand.... here is the banner URL im trying to add....

seriously can someone help me i'm getting very frustrated.
ummm.... ok now i see yahoo automatically cut out my URL that's just great thanks yahoo....

Please Follow the Blogger Rules. Try to do on Page layout & Make your adjustments.

Login to your blogger account > Layout > click add gadget > select "HTML/JavaScript" > paste your ads code.

if you want to add that code directly to blogger template (via edit html) you need to convert the code to make it xml friendly.
search in yahoo or google "ads blogger converter"
