Laptop Internet Connection not working?!?
I have a Dell 1525 Inspiron. My home computer has internet, with wireless capabilities due to Linksys. I normally have internet connection downstairs for my laptop but now I don't. When I go to look at the connection it tells me " Linksys: the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network" What does this mean. I didn't fiddle with the controls on my computer, so what can I do to get the internet back working?

I have that as well. How long has it been happening? Sometimes I lose my connection for about ten minutes. Just disconnect it and after five minutes reconnect it (from your laptop). That usually works for me.

Restart your computer. Clean the desktop from pictures, files movies and music. Clear all your cookies and internet history.
Check the settings and set them up to how you want them, then restart the computer, it should work.

Or the person whom you took internet from is longer in that area. lol

If you have a setup password on your network. then try and resetting the password for it.

just right click on the connection and go to properties .. and choose your connection's encryption type .. WPA/WEP and retype teh key. and save it this will get u back online ..

regards.

It is because of two reason-
IP address conflicts- Just restart your system and this problem would disappear (Make sure all other user disconnect too if any to the same internet connection)
it requires installation of device (Because of new router, new connection or a new laptop). You should have a CD to install the router.
Try these I am sure you would be fine.

Sounds like the security settings changed for soem reason. Try running the Linksys software to set up another connection
