Why do most games just make it only online multi-player?
They are a few pros and cons about there being only online multiplayer in games. People do like to play against people around the world as well as their friends, but also they are some things why they still love to just play with their friends.

Co op and Split-screen are depleting from videogames, most it due to the demand of online players, but is it really better? When you think about it, to play with a group of friends now is them having to have their on copy of the game, their own internet and tv. Or could use multiple TV's on one internet connection and drive up the power bill. Remember when you had a group of friends and played 4-8 players together with games on one or two TV's? Videogame developers needs to give us that back. The reason being, is because the older games get but we still hang onto are getting less and less people into the lobby's. Because newer games are coming out or sequels to them are being announced. But when you want to go back and play those games again, you realize you could of just been doing this with your friends on spilt-screen to save all the trouble, and most people don't think about this, but sooner or later, those servers for those games you love will be gone one day, Because the companies will shut them off, like they do will all past consoles, but the options of past consoles had more offline multiplayer and split-screen, xbox 360, ps3, wii, did not. those games you loved will be pretty much useless when the servers goes off for them. That is why they need to make it both ways, to keep both online/offline for games.
Another reason is some people can't play games online anyway, because they don't get a good enough internet in their area, or their internet is weak and has a lot of lag or disconnects from games a lot.
I know it's just an opinion nothing more, and one opinion can't change anything, but I do think they will be some people agree with me on this, that they do need to think of both sides of gamers, the ones that plays online, and the ones that plays offline.

You're partially right. The will cease to exist, but will be replaced with newer technology. And I play splitscreen with my buds whenever we get time off from work or whenever I don't got class. But Its just a time thing on my end. If I could, I'd play in the same room.

I agree with you, the companies who make multiplayer only games don't think and in their mind they think players will buy their game no matter because its new and they are makers of their previous game, its money man, its all they care about, but most people do buy games for the multiplayer now, but eventually they will lose their internet for a period of time or forever and they will be screwed with no more games to play except the old games with offline play
