Is it legal for my school to give kids detetion for joining certain groups on facebook?

No!!!! its kind of like how a bunch of 8th graders at our school got detention for playing duck duck goose. the principal was telling us that were too old for duck duck goose. we cant play a safe childs game at recess? anyway the same thing happened at our school, because some one made a group about a really mean teacher, and they couldnt figure out who it was, so they just gave everyone who was in it detention, which wasnt fair even more because the person who created it wasnt in the group, so they didnt get detention, even though no one should have gotten detention in the first place
