Facebook, my FRIEND REQUEST OPTION is missing?

How do I reset it ?
and no, I am not checking my own profile...
friends have been telling me the option is not there.
That they have been trying to add me, but can't !
So after 2-3-4 friends told me the same story,
I asked one to show me..... Amd it's true !

are you assuming it's not there because you are looking at your own profile?

you dont see it when you look at your own profile because you cant add yourself as a friend

other people will see it tho

you can also go to privacy settings, edit "how you connect" and there is an option for who can send you friends requests

Go to your Facebook account by clicking your name and then click the drop down menu beside the activity log and then select the option view as

and then select the public

It will show you how public can see your profile. If there is no Friend request option please kindly follow the following steps

01. Log into your account
02. Click the drop down icon next to home and select the privacy settings
03. Under how you connect select the Edit settings.
04. Click the drop down icon next to who can send you friend request
05. Select the option EVERYONE.

Go to your privacy settings, edit "how you connect" and there is an option for who can send you friends requests. Then select everyone. Then go to your timeline, click the gear icon, hit view as. It should show how your time would look to others.
