facebook privacy on google searches?
i have been told that facebook allows privacy such as show my information to friends only...
however what if i dont want people to see my facebook link when they type my name in a google search
does facebook privacy settings prevent a third person from typing my name on google and seeing that i exist on facebook?

Your name will appear in Google results not only for Facebook but also sites like linkedin, twitter etc. They can't see beyond your start page, but your name will be visible. The only way to prevent this is open the account with an alias

Nope. Facebook doesn't give a damn about you. Thats why they SELL your information to third parties and that is why you have your own custom ads on the right hand side of your page. I am an Air Traffic Controller and all i get is buy this plane, fly that, ATC Simulation..Blah Blah Blah... Google seach should be the last of you worries... Don't take my word for it..."Google it"...

Worried about search engines? Your information is safe.
There have been misleading rumors recently about Facebook indexing all your information on Google. This is not true. Facebook created public search listings in 2007 to enable people to search for your name and see a link to your Facebook profile. They will still only see a basic set of information
