Why did my mom just do this?

My mom recently told all of us kids that she installed a computer program that limits time on the computer and records everything you do into a compressed little video. This kind of disturbed me. Even though I don't do anything bad on the computer, she did this. Then, she told us that she blocked Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, too--and that the Internet in our house would be completely blocked on our iPods.

The thing is, we have never had a problem with this before. I'm not excessive on the computer, and I don't look at anything bad. The fact that my mom did this tells me that she doesn't trust me and that I don't deserve privacy. Why would she do this?

PS: I'm typing this question at a friend's house.
I am fifteen, my sisters are ten and twelve.

shes just worried about you maybe she has seen something on the news about facebook , paedos , kids getting addicted or she thinks your getting to an age where you might look are bad stuff there is alot of bad stuff/people on the internet im sure she is just trying to protect you dont worry about it just go to your friends instead haha

thats an odd one. have you tried asking her about it? maybe she just think you and your siblings are ''at that age'' where you might attempt to do something you shouldnt. she might have heared about facebook ad twitter and all thjose and how much trouble they have been known to cause so she is trying to stop anything like that from happening.
i dont know about her thinking that you dont deserve privacy but i think its almost natural for her to not trust you 100% to not do anything your not supposed to.

try taking to her and asking what braught this on, and if she gets nasty, just tell her you will be using it at somone elses house anyway so it doesnt matter if she vblock's it at home.

Yes, I agree it is extreeme, but it is not child abuse. You should tell your mom how you feel about her decision and then give her reasons why she can trust you. The best thing to do is to act like a grown up. You will gain her respect and she might think again about her decision.

its because u guys r young however ur 15 so not exactly, she prob dont want u to go on anything bad, dunno why block facebook prob cuz so u dnt have contact with certain people for certain reasons. type the program shes using on a search engine, find out ways to block it, that way u can still use facebook, twitter, trust these types of programs r easy 2 crack, even really expensive ones, my college had something like this, but it was useless, i mean com on my college specialises in computer science, students can obvs disable the program with a usb or internet page. but thats totally unfair she blocked certain websites and ting :/. think thats a lie records everything u do on ur cpu, cuz if it did then the file would be gb's long in just an hour of pc usage, prob starts recordin after u go on something blacklisted, such as certain words, websites. but dont worry man always ways to get past it

Look kids these years playing all day online so wen she was young she prombley played outside and not what you do all day so she had to do what's right and I don't blame her
