How do the 6 friends photos at the top of Facebook Timeline get chosen?

Ive been searching online and we ALL know that they are not chosen randomly. Out of the 6 I only talk to probably 3 or 4 of them. And we are talking about recently. I keep on refreshing and the same people keep on popping out but in diffrent positions. I dont communicate and or havent been tagged in photos for half of them, so its not that. Do you think they are placed by how much times they view your facebook? Does anyone know how they get there?

For the old 'wall', there was a rumor that it contained the people that viewed your profile the most.

For the 'timeline', it's the people that you interact with the most, or have the most things in common. (mutual friends,likes, ect.)

i believe those are the people that most view your profile actually! it's not extremely accurate tho but it's a pretty good idea of that.
