Ads on my facebook timeline?

On my facebook timeline all these ads have started appearing mixed in with the posts, and on other peoples timelines that I look at. They say "ads not by facebook" underneath, but I can't figure out where they're coming from. They just appeared today but I haven't downloaded anything new. I tried clearing my cookies and cache (I use firefox), I tried adding adblocker extensions and add ons, and I tried deleting apps on facebook. None of it worked. Can anyone help?

right click on the ad, and there will be an adblock option available to block ads from that server

btw if you wish to hide the normal fb ads, a great solution for this is FB Purity, a safe and adware free browser extension that gives you the option to remove normal fb ads, along with lots of other useful options for keeping your facebook clean and tidy
