i had the exact same problem! i got upgraded to facebook timeline accidentally and i did some research too, and it's impossible to go back to the original way. i know, it sucks. but it's said that everyone will be upgraded to it eventually so i don't know. i say just learn how to work it, and by the time your friends get it, you'll know how to use it

Sadly no, you got it because Facebook changed everyone over to it. It's annoying right? You can't get the old one back, I wish it was possible.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update
this guide will help you learn how to use it http://abrax.us/Facebook/TimelineChecklist.php it will take you a few days to get used to the changes, but overall, it's much better than the old profile you can trick out your browser settings to IE7 to see your old page ONLY ON YOUR COMPUTER - EVERYONE else will still be seeing your timeline and all the stuff you dont want them seeing, so dont think for a minute it will protect your privacy, and in fact, it will anger anyone else who uses the same computer IE7 (and just tricking your browser into thinking that it's IE7) has MAJOR SECURITY FLAWS which will leave your entire computer vunerable to attacks from phishers, spammers, and hackers, and people trying to steal your banking information and your identity is facebook that important to you, to risk it? |

you can easily disable Timeline in your browser via this simple guide:
http://fbpurity.com/remove-timeline FB Purity is a safe web browser extension, for proof you can view what Norton the top computer security company say about it: http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=fbpurity.com |

There's no way to undo the Timeline upgrade. Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional.
Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are. |
