Can I get arrested for creating a fake Facebook profile?

I created a fake facebook profile of an associate,, now lately they have found out that it was a fake profile and they threatened to take me to court..how likely is my chance of being arrested in India if they dont know anything of my identity?? And how easy is it for the CCC to obtain my ip address??
By the way I am using a fake ip address through a proxy sever.

its as easy as you cannot imagine. my friend got arrested for downloading movies , they tracked down his ip address. its a way to easy for them. so becareful!

I don't have facebook so I wouldn't know, BUT during the royal wedding someone created a fake twitter account for the Queen So I guess the account your going to create can't be any more important than her.

Most likely no the worst that could happen is maybe they give you a fine and make you delete the facebook profile.

You can not get arrested for creating a fake FaceBook profile because I had done the same thing! Plus, it is very easy for them too get your adress. http://www.adresses.com/ delete it of you are this worried

It's is very easy for the police to reach you if they complained about you. it is very easy for them to track your IP and then prove your identity. but, if you havent done any wrong use of that account, perhaps they won't interfere. obviously you are dealing with the police in India. they already are over-burdened with work, unless and until your associate promises them something, you are safe.
If you havent maligned the image of that associate of yours by any means, i would say, he is dumb enough to threaten you with charges.

honestly if it was company in America that was threatening you for it and your in india unless the company wants to spend a few hundred thousand dollars to arrest you nothing will happen

the reason being is that the company would need to higher someone from the government to go out of the country find you arrest you and bring you back they would need to extradite you from the country of india and that takes a very long time and its very costly and all you did was create a fake fb profile so i guarantee nothing will happen
