How to edit facebook profile picture without having to upload a new one altogether?

Is there an application or software to decrease the brightness of my facebook profile picture, without having to remove it and upload a new one?? I have the comments on the current facebook picture and so, I do not want to get rid of it.
Any help or pointers will be appreciated. Thanks.

Click on the upper left of your photo and click:
1. Edit your profile picture
2. Choose from album
3. Change your picture

No, its not possible, but may i suggest for you to,
make a new album and set it to private, then move that image there, that image is no longer seen by your friends.
now fix the image's brightness and reupload it to facebook.

your friends can't see the old comments, but you can and the brightness is fixed. hope this helped.
