do the facebook ads really spy on what you do?
like if you visit porn sites or something will it show on your ads stuff like "free videos" or whatever. i saw my ads and most were about games for xbox and pc and some shoes which is what i frequently look at

Facebook's basic business model is finding as much about you as possible and selling that information to advertisers. They track your activity on the web using cookies as well as looking at what you post.

the google ads (that facebook uses) are targeted towards what is visible on the page, and what you have in your profile...
so if you have that you like xbox stuff in your profile, you will see ads for xbox... etc... every website that uses google ads does the same thing... it's very common, but google ads do not show you ads based on the other pages you may have visited with your computer as that would be an invasion of your privacy |
