How do I hide my profile from my parents if they insist on being my friends on facebook?

My parents and a couple of their friends insist on being my facebook friends. That's fine but I want to know how to keep some things private from them and I can't figure out how to hide things from people that are my facebook friends

Account -> Privacy settings -> customize settings then click on the drop down box of the section you dont want them to see and click customize then type in their name's and it will block those accounts from seeing certain sections of your facebook.

Well there is a way to hide some things from people, but it only works on face book statuses. Before you click the share button, scroll over to the small padlock. Click it and click customize. Then you can decide who sees the post and who doesn't.
