I want to add people on facebook without my current friends knowing. How can I do this?

Add him or her then go to your profile and hover over the status and their should be an x mark and click it and it should say hide post / hide all friending activity

when the notification "__ is now friends with __" pops up on your page, there should be an x in the far right corner. Just hit it and it'll delete the notification from the home page and profile.

You can't do that without others knowing. When you add someone to your list, you notifiy someone on Facebook
