If you're thinking about doing one of these, that's terrible. If you want your ex to respect you afterhe relationship, you need to do itnin person. If this is just curiosity, I think a FB message would be worse, because I know my friends use each other's FBs, and I wouldn't be sure if it was real.

they're both pathetic ways to break up. maybe grow a pair(idc if you're a guy or a girl) and tell him/her face to face. or atleast over the phone(talking).

FB Chat, because you actually have to reply and they can see you pausing and imagine you thinking of a response. The more they talk the more your thinking , are they really trying to justify why their breaking up on fb chat?

Worse? Text. People take their time to respond on text. Facebook chat. Faster to type and respond.
