How can I find my friends' network distribution on the new facebook? I mean how can I find out how many people are in a particular network? This function was on the old facebook. Was it removed from the new facebook?

Unless your friend displays their Network distribution on their profile, you can't really know for sure the number of people they have in particular Networks. There is a close alternative though. Here's how:

1) Go to your friends' profile.
2) Click to "See All" their friends.
3) In the upper left hand corner you'll see a drop-down menu box next to Show. You can then see their friends in the same Network as them, as well as College, Work, or Regional friends.

It's not exactly the same as when you used to be able to always see someone's Network distribution, but it can give you an idea.
