What do I say to a friend leaving for Iraq?
I hadn't talked to my friend for about a year (due to distance etc), but we have known each other for about 6 years. He's in the army and recently, we started talking again on Facebook. He just told me he is leaving for Iraq in a few months! I know we aren't the closest of friends but I still care about him and will worry and miss him while he's there. My question is, what do I say to him? I want him to know I will always be here for him, and that I will miss him. Ideas?

first of all if he is in the army ain't nothing is going to happen to him because the army stands for aren't real men yet. And what should you say to him, just follow your heart and propose to him fagget.

It's much more important what you do while he is in Iraq. Letters, cards from home are like gold. say to him what you told us, he will be missed, and you consider him a friend, and will pray for his safe return, until then make sure he has your address so he can write and give you his when he learns it. Sometimes this takes awhile, so don't think he just isn't writing, they have much to do and a short time for writing to anyone.
