I guess that is one way to do it, a little impersonal for that type of news I believe. I hope she is planning on sending it as a private message and not just pasting it on her Facebook wall for everyone to see. That would be humiliating. Can she at least get an address and write her a personal letter? phone call? meet for lunch? do the step-parents know she is going to do this? "Hi, those people you are living with are aliens, I am your real mom. So when are you moving back in?" = )
