Will adding a graphics card improve the fps of facebook games?
or any flash games on the net? I have a really old pc at home and I was planning to buy a cheap graphics card for it so that my brother can play facebook games or old pc games without any lag. Will it work?
and don't ask me to buy any expensive stuff, i'm just a student Yeah, this question might sound silly.. My family's dirt poor Ads |

O_o, generally graphics cards do help with graphics and games yes, BUT if your computer can't even handle simple FLASH games off of facebook, save the money and get a new computer, you're going to end up spending more money fixing up the old computer for nothing

If you're getting lag from flash games online, it's probably due to slower internet speed. Any video card around today can handle flash games with no probs

A video card upgrade might help somewhat with flash games using 3D elements, but for the most part, your computer is what's causing the slowdown. However, the cost of a video card for an older PC is about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of a new computer, so I can't recommend upgrading the older machine at all.

Flash games generally depend on the processor rather than on your graphics card.
There are only a handful of flash games that utilize GPU's -- like ones that 3d graphics. Adding a graphics card may or may not improve your performance, but you can still try. If the old computer has a single core CPU such as a Pentium 4 or Athlon 64, don't even bother. These CPU's are generally too old even for flash games and won't handle anything intensive. |

yes. just get a GeForce 8400GS GPU. It will cost 35 bux MAXIMUM and that will be more than enough for any game you play off the internet. by the internet i dont mean a game you play online like Call Of Duty or World of Warcraft. i mean like games on facebook.
