Why do people get upset if their employers demand access to their Facebook/Twitter accounts?

There's no real reason for it. They can see what they need on your public profile anyway, and its an invasion of privacy. Would you like it if someone rifled through your closet and drawers saying "If you have nothing to hide, you should be fine with it?"

Its the principle of the thing. Its an invasion of privacy. Why should you care what I post to my friends and family? Point is, its "none of yo d*mn business"

Maybe because this is something personal, but... who knows. My boss did something way different that asking for my fb account. He just blocked facebook at our office, but I still access it through few proxy sites : http://usproxyserver.net http://proxyarmor.com http://4proxy.us But if he ask me one day I'll be glad to add him as friend.
