How does abortion work & when could you know your pregnant?
THIS IS NOT ME ! This girl put up one of those like if you think abortion is wrong pictures on Facebook with a diagram of how it's done. This picture shows a 30 week fetus and says you pull off the legs and other body part one by one and after you crush the head. I dont think that's the correct procedure. & after reading the comments she says you can't tell if your pregnant after 1 1/2 months. Wtf-.- no. Also what are you feelings on abortion, is it murder?

There are several different procedures for abortions, depending on how far along you are and why you are seeking the termination; you can read about the different types here (no worries, no graphic pictures, just straightforward medical text):

Medication Abortion: http://bit.ly/pKr8ab

Suction Aspiration: http://bit.ly/ncN7wp

Dilation & Curettage: http://bit.ly/pcNv1k

Dilation & Evacuation: http://bit.ly/nHFpL4

Induction Abortion: http://bit.ly/nmU1lq

Intact Dilation & Extraction: http://bit.ly/oWIZ2I

Late-term abortion is quite rare; only 1.5% of all abortions take place after 21 weeks' gestation (http://www.guttmacher.org/statecenter/sp...b_PLTA.pdf ). As far as your friend's Facebook status, yes, it's incorrect; look at the Dilation and Evacuation and the Intact Dilation and Extraction links to get a correct breakdown of how the procedures work.

"she says you can't tell if your pregnant after 1 1/2 months."

No, that's wrong. Generally, a woman has to wait until she has missed her period (or is 14 days past ovulation) in order to take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result.

"Also what are you feelings on abortion, is it murder?"

I am pro-choice; I believe abortion is a valid and legitimate form of reproductive healthcare that should be safe, legal, and accessible without undue burden, shame, or stigma for any woman who decides she needs one. No, I do not personally believe it is murder, but that's my view- others may feel differently, and that's their prerogative.

Hope that helps!

I think abortion procedure is sometimes like that, but different depending on how old the baby is. The older the baby, the more gruesome the procedure sounds because the baby physically appears more human. I know a boy who survived an abortion that consisted of clipping his spine. Luckily, his adopted mother found him dying on the sidewalk.

I think anyone who knows a survivor with scars from the crime knows abortion is murder, unsuccessfully or not. Even if it somehow isn't a baby, isn't it better to make the mistake of saving the baby rather than make the mistake of killing it? Firefighters go into burning buildings to save people they aren't sure are in there, but we kill what might not be a human? And all scientific evidence points to it being a baby (Google scientific evidence). Why risk killing what is certainly a human?
