How do I convince my mom that I need a facebook?

My mom lets me do whatever, so I easily got a Facebook. But my BFF's mom is slightly overprotective, so here are some tips that my friend used on her mom.

1. Tell your mom you won't use any applications or "like" any fan pages

2. Tell her you won't use a real picture of you, maybe something like a drawing or picture of a puppy or peace signs.

3. Tell her you will but your settings on private, so nobody can see anything about you or anyhting you posted until they are friends with you

4. Promise her you will only add people that YOU know, and not people your friends know.

5. Tell her you won't use your last name, maybe just the first initial of your last name.

6. Convince her to get a Facebook and then have her "friend" you, so she can watch you and your activites.

Depends how old you are.

Tell her she can monitor you, if you really must have it.
And tell her that you can stay in touch with friends.
Just tell her a friend is moving and that's the only way you can communicate with that friend.
