Facebook app for Android - when you recieve a push notification for a friend request, does it tell you who?
Basically I sent a friend request to someone and then cancelled it, but I forgot they have facebook app on their phone. I tested what would happen on an IPhone and although the friend request no longer existed I had the push notification on my phone telling me that someone had sent me a friend request and who that person was. The friend I accidently sent a friend request too has an Android phone and I was wondering if when you recieve a friend request notification on the Android phone does it tell you who the friend request is from without actually opening the facebook app?
Many thanks for any help. Karen - your reply literally dosn't answer anything. I am aware that there is a differnce in the Facebook apps for the differnt platform which is why I am asking this question. I forgot to mention that I tried this with Blackberry and the push notification told me that I had a friend request but not who it was from. Ads |

The push notification remains the same no matter which OS mobile phone you are using. But there my be a bit of difference in Facebook App for android and iphone because they both supports different facebook app version as per their compatibility.
