I think possibly she is curious about you as you are close in age with her and also share family from your dad's side.

You can go a head and add her, then if things get "lame" or whatever with her, can easily just remove her by deletion.

Wouldn't hurt to try. She might not understand yet what you feel as you never told anyone. So she could be just curious of a girl of around her age in her family to talk to etc.
