I just want to be able to find out where he is, I don't know much about him but I know his first and last name and I know semi- what he looks like.. a picture of him over 16 years ago is all I have I tried looking for him but he dosen't have a facebook or myspace or anything like that, any ideas how I can find him without using money or asking family?

Try people finder, white pages online, intelius.com, etc. If he owns a house or has a listed phone number then there's a good chance show up on one of those types of websites. To get full information you usually have to pay, but you can frequently get enough free info to figure out where the person lives with a couple more internet searches?

If your mom hasn't provided detailed information, they ask her to tell you as much as she can. That you are interested in meeting him. If she knows his last known address, if he paid child support through the family courts then they generally have a last known address. If they'll freely give it to you i don't know. Locating my son's father family friend of the court did provide me with the name of his last known place of employment. I spoke with a office clerk whom allowed me to leave my name and number for him to contact me. She didn't confirm yes or no if he was and employee for sure. In most states it's considered confidently information privacy act. Try to get names of grandparents, aunts and uncles names. Schools he attended, sometimes the high school anniversary celebrations online post may lead you to him also. You would have to apply to the notification listing, or contact the school it self.your local red cross, or the one in the city and state your mom provides. Ask your grandparents, aunts and uncles maybe they could assist you along with your mom in locating your dad.
I wish you the best of luck in your search, but please understand some people choose not to be located for various reasons unknown to any of us. I even went as far as to do a prison inmate search for my son's father before i thought to try family court office. Search county jail inmate search too. Again keep your mom involved in this because there's some information she can provide the courts that may help or red cross. |
