Can someone post a photo of my 2-year old son on facebook without my consent?
can i report it if my brother in law (who i am not in good terms with) takes a photo of my child and posts it on hisfacebook account? can i have it taken down? isn't it a violation if i didn't give my p ermission to 1. have my child's photo taken 2. to have it put up on his page.

Yes he can, as long as they aren't using it lewdly or making any profit off it.

Even in the days of facebook, it is illegal to post a photo of ANYONE in any sort of print (ie a newspaper, OR the internet) without their permission, or in the case of a minor, the permission of the guardian.

You can ask him to remove it, and if he fails to do so, you can get a court order forcing him to remove it.
