What happens when you block someone on Facebook?

I hate my sister right now because she posts stupid crap all over my wall and embarrasses me and whenever she comments she says mean things and gets up in my business. So what will happen if I block her? I've never blocked anyone on Facebook before . . . .

it might be complicated to unblock her...just delete her as a friend and she won't be able to put up any posts.

can't you just delete her as a friend and then make sure only friends can see your info and wall.??

When you block someone on facebook so he or she will not be able to see your profile. You just don't show to him or her when they search you.
