Teens do you understand the consequence of teen pregnancies?

Yup, I do know the consequences of teenage pregnancies. I lost my virginity when I was 18 and it was choice (my boyfriend waited and never pushed me once) and we do have sex often, but whenever we do we always use protection - I am on the pill and I have the implant & he always wears a condom, as we don't want a baby right now it's not in your life plan and we want to focus on our education, but if I was to get pregnant we would accept responsibility. But, yes I agree with you, I think people who want to have babies at a young age are quite foolish and naive, as they believe they would be together for a long time (some do stay but it's hard) they think a baby's easy to look after, it's not a doll and it's quite hard to look after. I think you should only have a baby once you're married (my belief) when you have money, a good stable job, you're mature & ready and you have your own home.

no, no one understands it and that's why so many people are getting pregnant.... d:
accidents happen and people need to be smart enough to use the right kind of protection and even sometimes that isn't enough.
and teens are horny, simple as that.

I agree with what you've said. I'm a teen and I feel that a lot of teens out there think that either,

a) Life is one big party or
b) That they know everything

They think that they'll marry that hot jock or that guy working at the pool and think puppy love is actual love. Not all, mind you, but a large amount of them. I guess there's no harm in dating a guy, if people really are THAT desperate for some sort of significant other in their life, but sex shouldn't even be on the agenda.

I personally, have a whole life ahead of me and I'm not going to sacrifice my career and all the places my future could lead, for something as dumb as a teen pregnancy.

But, you can't tell people how to live and I have a funny feeling teen pregnancy is here to stay for a long while.

I am 17 with a 3 month old baby! I am doing great! I am a great mother, my son has everything he needs and more! I have two jobs & I can easily support mysef & him. I graduated high school a year early! Yes being a mother gets hard but I woud trade the world for it! I love my son with everything I have. So just because one teenager doesnt make a good mom doesnt mean that for the rest.Age doesnt define how good of a mother you are. I have this from experiance. I work hard for what I have & I never go out at all, im home with my little baby everyday! I wouldnt want it any other way. So for all your idiots saying teens are stupid, realize some teen moms such as myself CAN take care of themselves and there babies! DONT JUDGE EVERY TEEN. Keep in mind everyone has different maturity levels.
