I'm 17 and I go to bed 11 or 12 on a school night. if i'm at home and have no school in the morning it is usually around 2, and if i'm out for the night it could be anytime!

She is 17, she shouldn't have a bedtime.
I am 20 and I haven't had a bedtime since I was 10.

If she is tired that is her problem. If she doesn't get to sleep till late and has school the next day and has to go tired then that is her problem. You can't make her go to bed.

And she isn't going to get ill from lack of sleep. All four years of high school was like that for me. I got 5-6 hours of sleep a night. It didn't hurt me I was just tired all the time.

Leave her be and let her be responsible for her own actions and don't baby her by giving her a bedtime. If she doesn't learn to do it on her own when she moves out she won't know how to do it on her own. Basically what I am saying is, if you give her a bedtime and make her go to sleep by a certain time then she isn't going to figure it out by herself and is just going to continue once she leaves the house.

At her age you don't do anything. She is way to old for a bed time and if she has no problems getting as little sleep as she does then leave her be, it sounds like you are the only one with the problem of how little sleep she gets.
