congratulate him!

EDIT: it sounds like he is a person that you respect. Perhaps you might consider that he could be correct?

highfive him.

Ask him how you can achieve rational thought as well?

Accept him for who he is. Fighting will only alienate him.

If you think it helps, pray for him every day.

Provide evidence your religion is correct.

What's that? You have none? Well, then, you have no reason to believe in it, either.

I would just ask him what his reasons were. I wouldn't try to change his mind without knowing why he changed his belief system.

I'd get over it.
It's nothing to do with you! Please don't let this ruin your relationship!
Just don't talk to him about it the pressure of it will but strain on your relationship.
DON'T DO ANYTHING!
He'll be really angry if you tell him what to believe.

The only thing you can do as a Catholic is pray for him.

If you were of another religion, I might suggest you witness to him by sharing the blessings you have received through prayer.

I would rejoice! My brother is a gun-totin' Texan who reads Hal Lindsey, believes scanners in the grocery store are a sign of the end times, and speaks often of killing "n*ggers". If he was to come into the light of reason at last, 'twould be a wonderful thing!
