How to get my name spelled differently for it to be easily pronounced?
My name is a French name and it ends with "the" but in English its suppose to end in "tha." So when people read my name there like wtf? They aren't even close to pronouncing it cause its in French. So can I just change the last letter so they can get it right??? Like if I wrote it on my homework or classwork, even Facebook!! Or should I stick to the original?

You should definitely stick to the original spelling of your name. You shouldn't have to change your name just to make things easier on others. Just correct them when they mispronounce it, and it'll all be fine. =)

What is the name? First name or last?
Either way, it's not YOUR fault that people are too stupid to pronounce it correctly. Don't feel like you have to eliminate your heritage to suit the reading habits of others. |
