Can I post a picture of my son/daughter to facebook without the mother's consent?
My ex is about to have our child. She does not want me posting pictures of our child to facebook after he/she is born. I want to be able to share the pictures with my friends and family but she is claiming she can legally keep me from posting them. Is this true? I figured since I am legally the father of my child I have the right to post the picture if I so choose.

You're also the baby's parent. You can post them.
Using her logic, you should be able to keep her from posting pictures of the baby as well.

"I figured since I am legally the father of my child I have the right to post the picture if I so choose."

Correct.

Given that your ex seems antagonistic and delusional, I would really encourage you to see if you can get her to go to counseling with you; find somebody with experience in co-parenting issues and sit down and try to sort stuff out so you are not dickering over this sort of petty BS; it will only be bad for the kid. If she won't go to counseling, go with a mediation-oriented law firm. If she's still dreadful, find a nastier, non-mediation-oriented lawyer.

B. I. T. C. H. E. S are crazy dude in reality no she can't tell you or stop you from posting pics of your own child. Don't let her take your freedoms away. And no she can't unless your an unfit father, with I highly doubt you are. Don't sweat it, I mean she's probably going to post them as well so. Good luck!

You can file for paternity testing to prove you are the parent and then she has to put you on the birth certificate but then you also have to pay child support if she files for it, so be prepared. But if you are the legal parent then yes, you can put pictures up as long as they arent of your ex.

You're also the childs parent. So yes, you're allowed.

But it is against the rules of Facebook to post pictures of anyone under 13. They may take the pictures down.

It's your child too so she has no say when it comes to you posting your baby's pictures on your facebook, She legally can't prevent you from doing it so go ahead and do it
