The mother of a guy i like passed away, what should I do?
so i like a guy and his mom recently passed away.
he hasnt been coming to school lately and if he does, its only for about 2 days out of the week.
i heard from his friends that his mom died and i want to cheer him up.
i see him at school & i have him as a friend on facebook.
we hardly ever talk.
what should i say to him?

Wow. Thats hard.
I'd ask him if he wants to get out of the house and do something.
It'd be good for him.

Get him a sympathy card. Write something sweet in it that will make him smile. Tell him if he needs to talk you'll be there to listen, but let him know if he needs his space, that's ok too. Just be a good friend.

Maybe you can call him if you have his numbers or maybe when in school and talk to him when he was alone. Say something like are you feeling okay because i heard you mum just... and give him words of encouragements to cheer him up. A thank you from him i think will be unforgettable for you.

say to him you are sorry about his mum...but you have to realize his mum died, i dnt think he would be happy and cheery if you tried to cheer him up. he needs time to grieve, give it time. support him

Just tell him how sorry you are about his mother and tell him that if ever wants to talk about her or about his feelings about her death, that you will be there for him.

Don't push him, though, because people grieve in their own way.
