no, once she's 18, she's an official adult.

No, because no one filed for child support and she is already 18 years old so your daughter is already an adult. A good, loving, and caring parent will want to help out financially for their children, no matter what age they are.

you do not have to pay child support to anyone over 18 unless the child is still in high school unless you owe a previous balance.

As far that I know ,when the child is 18 the support stop.
But if she need help with things sometimes you may help her out,
it will be nice of you.
That is if she talks to you and ask for some help I meant.

Take Care.

Seems to me you should be paying her grandmother. You also need to know what the court order was. In some cases it ends at 18. In others it goes to 21 if the child is attending college.

I would say yes, as long as she is in school. If you have a court order to pay to the mother. Let's hope the mother is spending the money helping her pay for school.

Tennessee
Generally, the obligation ends when the child reaches 18 years of age or the child graduates from high school, whichever occurs later.

If she graduates from high school this year, just make an official request to stop the order. It will not get into court until this Summer.
