Should women get child support if the child lives half their life with the father?

no, why should she? not like she is paying the dad because he has the child half the time? It should be 50-50. they are both of their children.

If the parents share custody and both are working, then I don't think child support should even be an issue. If one of the parents does not work, then I feel there should be some sort of support granted so that the children are cared for properly by the non-working parent. I don't know why women would NOT want full custody unless the father proves to be incompetent, or like you mentioned, abusive. I would have been very happy and satisfied with sharing custody when my children were growing up. This is why it's so important to live right and not sleep around with just anybody. Sex is a serious thing and made for marriage....and marriage is a serious thing. We take these blessings for granted, we marry into confusion and pain....and then have children who we can barely care for or hurt because we divorce and tear the families apart.

no...i don't think so. i think the child support system is unfair anyway, to a degree. and i'm a woman. and i dunno why women want full custody...probly because they like having control or think the dad can't do as good a job as they can raising the kid or maybe they'll be lonely or something
