Is it a bad idea to use my real name on email?
I'll create a new email account to use only with my family and friends and college things.
Is it a bad idea to use my real name as an email address? I'm worried about hack or something.. like that One more thing. Is it a bad idea to use email account with my real name on it when I do facebook or twitter? Ads |

I tend to have a pseudonym instead of my real name in any email.
It's not that I don't trust my friends and family, but many people will send out multiple emails and NOT use BCC. which means my email address and possibly my real name will get sent to a whole bunch of strangers!! I don't want that. Ads |

Nah, it's fine. All my email accounts uses my full real name. I've been doing this for years now, so no it's not a bad idea. I even done it on a lot of Social Networking sites (including Facebook and Twitter).

Facebook or twitter NO, Make something up.
Your own personal email for family/friends is OK. If you buy online use a gmail/ yahoo, or windows live mail account and hope all the spam goes there |
